The Journal of Management Systems is the AoM/IAoM flagship publication which was founded in 1989. The primary mission of JMS is two-fold: (1) to promote the integration and cross-fertilization of the behavioral/organizational and information sciences and (2) to encourage, sharpen, and expand the dialogue between academicians and practitioners from an interdisciplinary perspective. JMS has been ranked as a first tiered journal, coming in #6 in 2003 and #21 in 2005, placing it ahead of other major academic management journals. JMS draws from a number of management disciplines and fields of management practice including organizational, human resources, and information and information technology management and related disciplines.
